Accolades: Only course in Southern Idaho that tips out over 7000 yards.
What to Expect: 93 Golf Ranch is an under the radar course located about ten miles north of Twin Falls on Highway 93. The brainchild of owner Ed Peterson, the wide open course boasts over 7000 yards of length while contending with a creek that runs throughout the property. The course is built on terrain that climbs gently uphill on the north travelling opening holes before playing back downhill to wrap up the front nine. A solid variety of hole lengths, green shapes, and challenges exist throughout the track which keeps the golfer intrigued from start to finish. The course has a links feel and the unprotected setting allows wind to play through the course which brings additional variety to layout. Several of the greens are in shallow bowls which is a welcome and uncommon design trait in the area. Based on the name alone, I had low expectations when I went to visit 93 Golf Ranch for the first time, but fortunately I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the holes, conditions of the turf, and playability of the course. Other than Blue Lakes in Twin Falls, 93 Golf Ranch is my favorite course in Southern Idaho and worth a stop if in the area or on your way to Sun Valley.
