MeadowWood Golf Course (Liberty Lake, Washington)

Rankings:

The Takeaway:  The Spokane area stands as one of the best golf values in the country with Meadowwood being one of the reasons why. It stands as the best county owned course but doesn’t trump the city owned Indian Canyon or Creek at Qualchan courses.  Grade C

What to Expect:  Meadowwood is one of three courses owned by Spokane County and yet another fantastic value for golfers in the area. The longest of the government owned courses in the greater Spokane area, Meadowwood offers a wide open layout with immature trees and a handful of water hazards. Much of the course is relatively flat or slightly mounded before climbing up the 16th hole and cascading back down the 18th. The course rates high on the playability scale and is a comfortable walk. The back nine is definitely more interesting than the front nine in both variety and challenge while bunkers come into play throughout the track. In the end, the course is a solid offering for a county owned track and worth playing if in the area, but doesn’t rival some of the upper end courses in the region. The Spokane area is known for providing solid courses at great values and Meadowwood is a strong reason why.
